Who It's For
Yellow Belt training for teams that want to start improving their own work now.
A lot of Yellow Belt courses teach the basics on a factory you've never seen. This one teaches them on the processes your team runs every day, so the exercises turn into real improvement ideas instead of textbook examples.
You don't need a big program in place first. You need 1 or 2 processes worth looking at and a leader willing to hear what the team finds.
How It Runs
- Session 1: Lean basics and mapping your process
- Session 2: measurement and root cause, applied to that process
- Session 3: picking projects, then the readout to your leadership
Sessions run weekly. What we need from you: 1 or 2 processes to work on, a leader to hear the readout, and a room or a video link.
Taught by two Master Black Belts, together for every session: Tom Ford and Bob Buckwalter.
What You Get
Yellow Belt certificates
Lean basics, waste, DMAIC and root cause, with a certificate for everyone who completes the course.
A map of real work
The cohort builds a SIPOC of 1 or 2 processes you choose, and finds where they break.
Projects worth doing
The cohort pitches 2 or 3 candidate projects to your leadership in the final session. Thirty days later, we check in with your sponsor on where they stand, at no charge.
